Kingdom Conversations
“All Your works shall give thanks to You and praise You, O Lord, And Your godly ones will bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts And the glorious majesty of Your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.” -Psalm 145:10-13 AMP

If you were to take a walk around your town, sit in your local coffee shop, eat out at your favorite restaurant, and even meet up with church friends, chances are the conversations will touch and linger on the many pressing current events. One person will share covid-related stories and conspiracies, another will vehemently discuss the political strife, and another person might complain about the rising gas prices and shortages. While these things are very real and happening all around us, the enemy has used these topics of conversation in the world’s kingdom to distract us from focusing on things of eternal nature—and that is the Kingdom of God.
When believers choose to walk in the spirit and keep their eyes firmly glued to the Kingdom of God, the things of this world begin to fade from view. A brand new perspective and light shines forth as Christians realize they are not fighting flesh and blood, but spiritual forces and entities that give way to the name of Jesus. However, believers can easily lose sight of their spiritual position and authority when they become engaged and obsessed with natural conversations, natural solutions, natural courses of action, and the fleeting things of this world.

COME UP HIGHER
I want to encourage you today to lift up your eyes from the natural world and come up to a higher plane—the place and position of ruling and reigning with Christ in the heavenly realm. Stay in your prayer closet and don’t retaliate to natural things in the heat of the moment from your fleshly nature. Keep your thoughts and conversations full of things of the Spirit of God, His Word, His might, His dominion, and His power.
If you’re a true Kingdom person, your first priority is Kingdom business. Jesus Himself exemplified this lifestyle in His earthly ministry as He was occupied with preaching and teaching about the Kingdom, healing those who were sick, discipling His followers, and calling people to repentance. He wasn’t distracted by the current events of the day but was rather single-mindedly pursuing things of eternal value—the Kingdom of Heaven. Nowhere in Scripture do we find Jesus stepping below His position of authority and power to engage in earthly battles, for He was far too busy carrying out the Father’s business.
With all the apocalyptic-type events happening at rapid pace since March of last year, far too many believers have been tempted to let their minds become consumed with the things of this world. However, the Bible calls these natural kingdoms temporal and passing. They have no eternal value and will evaporate like smoke under the authority of King Jesus.

PREPARE YOURSELF & OTHERS FOR THE LORD’S RETURN
Instead of allowing your conversation to center around the political events of the day, I challenge you to engage in Kingdom conversations. Pursue things of eternal value and be committed to living upright before the Lord. Eradicate sin from your life and admonish other believers to do the same. Repentance is and always will be the clarion call of the Kingdom. Draw near to the Lord in a spirit of meekness and ready your life for His purposes! Make sure your hands are clean and your heart is pure. Be quick to repent of pride, jealousy, lust, anger, bitterness, envy, or strife. Allow God’s sanctifying grace to work in you as you prepare yourself and others for the Lord’s return.
We are to be Kingdom people, ever mindful that we don’t serve man-made kingdoms of this earth. As part of the ecclesia, we are the called-out ones, yielded and prepared to make Jesus Christ known all over the world. May His name and His power be on our lips as we walk in the high places of the Spirit in these last days!
