Meet Mica

Mica Olinghouse is a writer and editor with more than 15 years’ experience working as a professional in the communications and publishing industry. Throughout her career, she has contracted with dozens of Christian ministers and missionaries, facilitating a variety of print and digital media projects. She is the founder and lead editor of Millennial Media, a business she established in 2013. Mica is a 2005 graduate of the pastoral ministry program at Rhema Bible College and a 2003 graduate of Oral Roberts University. She holds a degree in Mass Media Communications / Print Journalism and a double minor in Spanish and Literary Writing. She is also a member of the Evangelical Press Association, the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, and the American Copy Editors Society. In 2022, she will be preparing to write her first books and publish them under Millennial Media’s imprint.

In recent years, Mica has also expanded her craft into the travel writing space, a natural fit for her global background and lifestyle. Raised as a missionary’s daughter, she developed a curiosity and love for international travel and cross-cultural communications at an early age. She graduated from the Lycée International in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France and obtained her OIB Certificate in Economics and Social Sciences in 1999. She speaks advanced French and basic Spanish and enjoys studying foreign languages in her spare time.

Mica’s travel writing experience includes brand management, content marketing, blogging, photography, and ad copywriting for JSO Travel and Embark Travel Store. In 2018, she received a certificate in travel writing and is a member of the International Travel Writers Alliance. Mica often accompanies her husband Jeffrey on field and research assignments for his luxury travel agency, JSO Travel. Their adventures have taken them to exciting destinations all over the world including Aruba, Anguilla, Croatia, Quebec, Argentina, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Greece, Austria, the United Kingdom, and several other locations. In addition to her professional career as a writer and editor, Mica is also a licensed minister with Armada International. Ever since she was a little girl, Mica has recognized the call of God on her life and has been passionately pursuing that call with her whole heart. She and Jeffrey are founders of New Life Metro Ministries International, a discipleship and church planting network dedicated to bringing the new life of Jesus Christ to others.

When Mica is not busy writing, ministering, or working, she enjoys traveling, hanging out at the coffee shops, reading, playing piano, and spending time with her husband. Mica is an avid student of God’s Word and cherishes her daily time with the Lord.
